Words from Kyiv shares the voices of artists living in the city during the current full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Home to a diverse and vibrant community, we hear the experiences of those who continue to live and work in one of Europe’s largest creative capitals. Through personal reflections and thoughtful narratives, the work opens a window into how Kyiv’s contemporary art scene is evolving and adapting during such profound challenges.
In collaboratin with fashion photographer Marcus Lister, Oonagh travelled to Kyiv in the summer of 2023 and 2024 to meet with artists from various practices, all of whom agreed to share their experiences as part of the project.
